Rotary Club Chili
Niles Songbird Chili
Sponsored by: Niles (Fremont) Rotary
Legend has it this chili was invented with Wild Peacock. This extraordinary bird roamed in the overgrown backyard of an old lady from Niles. It was during a “Paint the house/Clean the yard” project that this pest was evicted as a result the nice old lady’s pleas. This was no ordinary Bird! It took many days and lots of effort to capture this culprit. Same with our chili… it’s no ordinary chili and it takes many days and lots of effort to get it done. But it worth it! Taste it and see for yourself. What’s the secret ingredient this year? You’ll never know but it’s definitely not Peacock.
BBQ Steak Chili

Our chili is much more than "just chili." That first bite, your taste buds will soar. The Holy Trinity of meats swimming together in perfect harmony. Each meat individually seasoned like freckled cheeks of an angel, gently seared. And then... the secret ingredient! The most playful, unique ingredient that dances on the tip of your tongue. Add fresh condiments of toasted tortilla chips, chives, shredded cheeses and a dab of crème fraiche, so exquisite. All the flavors swirling in your mouth combining in a fugue of sweet, spice and savory, so delightful. This is no mere soup, rather God speaking through chili.

Holy Habanero Cooking Team - Line Of Fire Chili
Sponsored by: Mission Springs Community Church
The Holy Habaneros and Mission Springs Community Church are proud to present the famous Chili of James Brady. “Washington - Former White House Press Secretary James Brady is a gourmet cook and an avid fan of chili. In fact , he makes one of the ”hottest” pots of chili in town. Brady’s chili has won three consecutive “Chili Bull” contests in the Washington, D.C. area, which has earned him “Lifetime Member” status with the International Chili Society.” “It took more than 10 years of trial and error to perfect this recipe,” Brady told 150 food editors at an International Food Media Conference (IFMC) reception. “Anyone can make chili ‘hot’ - that’s easy,” Brady said, “but to find precisely the right ingredients and make them blend together - an ambrosia, if you will - takes quite a bit more doing. That’s what I’ve tried to accomplish with my recipe.”

Ted’s Triple-C Chili
Presented by: Ted Sloniker
Some folks use a teething ring to cut their teeth - me, I mostly used hot sauce and LOVED it! As such, dabbling in spicy foods has always been part of my culinary experience. My Mom's recipe, with a dab of my own creative expression, combines a bit of Latin flair with some Creole heat. Enjoy!
Wine With Swine BBQ
In the local mountains of the Bay Area, the Indians sing folk lore songs about a pig that made such a pot of chili that it made the gods cry with delight. Those tears formed the Pacific Ocean and thus on the beach of Santa Cruz was it displayed for the first time, Wine with Swine's West Coast Red. This chili is so good that Gandhi wanted to eat it, small children cheer for it in the streets and women have left their husbands so that if this chili ever took human form they would be single. This chili will now be available to everyone at this years contest. It has made two other appearances at which it placed first at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Championships and 1st Place at the SF Bay Chili Championships. Your tongue will salute this chili and your heart will fall in love with it.

The Spice of LIFE! LIFE ElderCare
When you taste this stuff, you will NOT believe its 100% vegetarian. “The Spice of LIFE” is so rich and hearty; you’ll never add meat to your chili again and you’ll be begging to pay for the recipe. It’s got a pungent, lusty flavor that spreads unrestrained through your happy mouth (without searing off your tastebuds). The chili peppers we use are only found at the wild Dondero Ranch in Fremont, CA and we pick ‘em fresh. MmmmM!
